Your home on the beach
Casa Flora sits directly opposite Playa de Los Locos in the Orbiplaya building. Cross the road and you're on golden sand in under a minute. Restaurants, bars, a minimarket and the coastal promenade are all within a 1–5 minute stroll. You'll rarely need a car.

Orbiplaya residents-only pool with sun loungers. Open late spring to early autumn. Perfect for a quiet swim on windy beach days.

Your own secure space inside the building — cool, safe and free. Rare on the beachfront. Ask us for the remote and instructions.

28–33 °C, sea around 24–27 °C. Lifeguards on duty. Book restaurants ahead. Arrive before 10 am for street parking. Beach bars open late.
🌤️ Shoulder & Winter (Oct – May)
15–22 °C, mostly sunny. Quieter beaches, no queues. Ideal for cycling, walking and golf. Some beach bars close or shorten hours.
💡 Digital nomad tip: Spring and autumn are ideal — warm enough to work on the terrace, cool enough to explore. Many promenade cafés have wifi.

Your home beach
Long golden-sand urban beach with clear shallow water. Ideal for families and water sports, with beach bars and restaurants directly on the promenade. In summer, seasonal chiringuitos appear right on the sand.

💡 Family tip: The water is shallow and calm — perfect for young children. Head out early in July–August to get a sunbed spot.
🌅 Playa del Cura
Evening stroll destination
Lively central beach with a buzzing promenade and plenty of bars and restaurants. A lovely evening destination for couples — especially at sunset.

🌿 La Mata Beach
Wide, natural & peaceful
2.3 km of wide sand with dunes and a natural feel. Excellent for long walks, morning runs and families who want space. Less crowded than town beaches even in high season.

🐠 Cala Ferris
Best-kept secret
A small palm-fringed cove with some of the best snorkelling near Torrevieja. Considerably quieter than the main beaches — most first-time visitors miss it. Bring your own snacks and water.

Paddle-surf and kayak operators set up on the beach in summer. Conditions are usually calm enough for beginners. Diving and snorkelling at nearby coves such as Cala Ferris.

Torrevieja's most unique sight
Torrevieja's famous pink lagoon — a genuinely surreal landscape unlike anything else on the Costa Blanca. Often combined with a tourist train excursion. Stunning at sunrise or sunset.

A completely flat promenade walk with constant sea views, cafés and places to sit. Suitable for all ages and all seasons. Allow time for an ice cream stop along the way.

Promenade + natural dunes
A beautiful combination route — flat promenade then natural parkland approaching La Mata. Early morning or dusk is most comfortable in summer.

💡 Local Tips & Customs
🕐 Spanish eating hours
Lean into the local rhythm and you'll eat far better. Most restaurants aren't really open for dinner before 20:00.
🛍️ Siesta hours
Many small shops close between roughly 13:30 and 17:00. Larger supermarkets and tourist-facing shops usually stay open. Use the quiet midday hours for a beach swim.
💶 Tipping
Tips are not obligatory in Spain. Rounding up the bill or leaving 5–10% for genuinely good service is appreciated but never expected.
☀️ Sun safety
The Costa Blanca sun is strong — even on overcast days. High-factor sunscreen, a hat and good hydration matter more than you think, especially for children during 12:00–16:00 in summer.
💻 Tips for digital nomads
Spring (April–May) and autumn (September–October) are the ideal working months. The quieter beach cafés along the promenade typically have wifi. September is the sweet spot: sea still warm (25 °C+), crowds gone, restaurants more relaxed.
🗺️ Day trips worth the effort
The Laguna Rosa is unmissable. Alicante city (43 km north) has a castle, an Old Town and a fantastic food market. Inland villages and the Orihuela Costa beaches are all within 30–40 minutes.
